So SAD to experience what's happened with HAPPY Donuts. This place used to offer the best coffee in the area (loved their hazelnut), as well as very fresh donuts and other edibles. The new staff we encountered—we confirmed a change in ownership/management—were quite decent (one star for that) but the coffee was the most tasteless, watered down brew I've ever had, anywhere. The donut and croissant we ordered turned out to be rubbery, not fresh in the least. At least it was consistent with the coffee. We got there before 11 am, so the disaster can't be blamed on a graveyard shift timeframe. Attention, owner/manager, if you're reading this: There may still be time to save this establishment but you'd need to act quickly. Figure out how to get the quality back to the way it was and do that without delay. The business you save will be your own.

It is so unfortunate to write a bad review for this business. I used to love coming here as all the staff has always been so kind. Now, I will never return back to give this shop any of my business. I walked in to what was a verbal war zone tonight from the employee (2/18/26). The man that was working behind the counter was going on a racially charged conversation about Muslims and cursing so loud. He talked about how he would love to be drafted to get rid of Muslims. He spoke about how Muslims don’t belong. He spoke badly about the Mayor of NY being Muslim. He spoke with so much hate, I could not bare one more minute. This man is a danger to the business and society. I do not typically give my energy to such negative type behavior. However this was one that I could not turn away from leaving a review. I am just so saddened and so disappointed by this experience. *I have partial video and a photo of the man*

The donuts are so good and always made fresh. The Classic Maple Donut & Glazed White Coconut are my ultimate two favorites from here. The other day I got the breakfast bagel sandwich and it was very bland, nothing special about it.

My favorite donut shop in San Jose. Update: It's 1:15 AM and they have a counter full of fresh delicious 🍩donuts! And BTW, they also serve 🍦ice cream and hotdog croissants, I haven't tried those yet, but they look good. Friendly🙋 counter help. It's a good place to have ☕ coffee late at 🌃 night, or very early in the 🌄 morning.
